Book Summary:
social activist known for her political analyses and criticism of corporate globalization. Klein was born in Canada after her parents moved their as war-resisters of the Vietnam War. Her paternal grandparents were communists, her grandfather was an animator at Disney and was fired after the Disney animators’ strike. Klein contributes to The Nation, In These Times, The Globe and Mail, This Magazine, Harper’s Magazine, and The Guardian. On October 6, 2011, Klein visited Occupy Wall Street and gave a speech declaring the protest movement “The most important thing in the world.”
